OmniGraffle has been and is for creating precise graphics such as website wireframes, electrical systems, family trees, presentation diagrams and maps of software classes. Everyone from professional artists and designers to casual data mappers and beginning diagrammers will find something gratifyingly new in OmniGraffle 7. I had the opportunity to review the Pro version.

Time lapse and sensor-trigger your camera with a Triggertrap iOS app

Using an iOS device to trigger your dSLR or system camera’s shutter, aperture and exposure is a tempting idea but it’s not straightforward to implement. The experiences I had with the Triggertrap Mobile and Triggertrap Timelapse Pro were mixed. Some features work well, others much less. Triggertrap Mobile lets you use an iPhone or iPad as a control device that allows you to press the shutter button, create timelapses, HDR image series, bulb ramping, and sensor-driven photos.

NUGEN Audio Audio Management Batch Processor AMB

NUGEN Audio is well known for its broadcast audio plug-ins and applications. Recently, it released its first batch processor, Audio Management Batch Processor (AMB). This application processes multiple audio files simultaneously. It reports on loudness levels, auto-edits your audio files to make them comply with loudness standards, upmixes audio using the new Halo Upmix algorithm and optionally works with ProRes and MXF files (OP-1a and OP-Atom)
